Ang NSTP Diliman Office, kasama ang DZUP 1602 ay inihandog ang Serbisyong Tatak UP (STUP), programang pang-radyo na pinarangalan sa Gandingan Awards at nakahanay sa NSTP UPD Common Module. Ang programa ay idinisenyo upang itaas ang kamalayan ng publiko hinggil sa mahahalagang isyung panlipunan at malawakan ding ginagamit bilang mga kagamitang pangkurikulum sa mga klase ng NSTP, na sumusuporta sa mga talakayan sa loob ng silid-aralan, kritikal na pakikilahok sa mga usaping panlipunan, at paghubog ng pananagutang sibiko ng mga mag-aaral. Kuha mula sa 19th UP ComBroadSoc Gandingan Awards Noong ika-26 ng Abril 2025, ginanap sa D.L. Umali Hall, UP Los Baños, Laguna ang ika-19 na Gandingan Awards ng UP ComBroadSoc na may temang “Tagahabi ng Kasaysayan para sa Bayan.” Ang serbisyong Tatak UP (STUP) ay pinarangalan ng “Most Development-Oriented AM Program”. Itinatampok ang episode: Human Rights Defender’s Bill, tumatalakay sa panukalang batas na naglalayong bigyang proteksyon ang mga indibidwal na nagsusulong ng progresibong lipunan. Binahagi rin dito ang mga impormasyong magagamit kontra sa diskriminasyon, partikular sa mga bata at kababaihan. Kuha mula sa 19th UP ComBroadSoc Gandingan Awards Kinilala rin ang Lagom ng Paghilom: Narratives of Women Victim – Survivors of Tokhang bilang “Most Development-Oriented Women’s Program”. Isinasaad ang mga kwentong pang-aabuso na dinanas ng mga babae na parte ng laylayan ng lipunan mula sa makapangyarihan o awtoridad. Layunin ng episode ng gisingin ang kamalayan ng madla ukol sa baluktot na sistema, at hinihimok din nito ang pagsusulong ng mas matitibay na batas laban sa anumang uri ng karahasan at diskriminasyon. Ang tanggapan ng UP NSTP Diliman ay nagpapasalamat sa katuwang na radio station, ang DZUP 1602, at sa Gandingan Awards para sa pagkilala ng aming programa. During the 17th Gandingan Awards of the UP Community Broadcasters’ Society on May 13, 2023, at the Dioscoro L. Umali Hall, UP Los Baños, Laguna, DZUP brought home the Most Development-Oriented AM Station award through Serbisyong Tatak UP (STUP). Among the nominees for the general award were DZRH, DZBB Super Balita sa Umaga, DZBB Super Balita sa Tanghali, BSU-on-the-Air, and Cebsi INC Radio. Gandingan Awards 2023 Gandingan Awards is the only student-led recognition program that highlights the value of development communication and the contributions of both national and local or community-based media organizations in changing the lives of Filipinos. After years of holding the ceremony online, Gandingan Awards 2023 returned to the D.L. Umali Hall with the theme “Kabuhayan, buhay ng bayan.” STUP Gandingan Entry: STUP submitted one entry titled “Kagawasan at Kalinaw: Plight of the Lumad,” hosted by Klasmeyts Gian Carlo Librojo and Carl Anthony Dave Sayat. The guest speaker, Asst. Prof. Jose Monfred Sy, the NSTP Coordinator of UP Diliman College of Arts and Letters, discussed land grabbing matters affecting the day-to-day lives of lumads. According to Asst. Prof. Sy, lumad ancestral lands were being stolen by big corporations. In these affected provinces, farming and trading are their main sources of income, and ownership of their lands is extremely significant for them to make a living. Listen to the full episode here. Serbisyong Tatak UP sa DZUP 1602 is a radio program aired over DZUP 1602 AM station on the first and third Monday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. STUP discusses the National Training Service Program of UP Diliman and various timely and relevant stories and information aligned with the NSTP Common Module Topics. Serbisyong Tatak UP (STUP), a program produced by the NSTP Diliman Office in partnership with DZUP 1602 and UP Radio Circle, which aims to create a model for a live interactive educational program simultaneous with classroom learning, was recognized as “Most Development-Oriented Radio Public Service Program” at Gandingan 2019: The 13th UPLB Isko’t Iskas Multi-Media Awards. The said program was held last March 16, 2019 at DL Umali Hall, University of the Philippines – Los Baños. Gawad Gandingan (Gandingan Awards) is an annual event that aims to encourage the production and airing of development-oriented radio, television, and online programs for the benefit of every Filipino. Organized by the UP Community Broadcasters’ Society, a student organization based at the UP College of Development Communication, the event recognizes radio and TV programs that promote genuine development, as opposed to initiatives arising from a dole out mentality. Gandingan Awards started accepting entries last October 10, 2018, and extended the deadline of submissions until November 16, 2018. The theme for the submissions was “kalayaan” or freedom. Serbisyong Tatak UP, as coordinated by DZUP, the official radio station of the University of the Philippines, submitted two entries [Heart at Play Foundation and Philippine Society and Culture] for a General Award category for radio. Through DZUP, the NSTP Diliman Office was informed that STUP was chosen as one of the finalists for the category, “Most Development-Oriented AM Radio Program.” Proud and full of optimism, STUP’s executive producer, Prof. Arlyn Macapinlac, and NSTP co-producer, Ms. Erika Navarro, together with NSTP Deputy Director, Dr. Jonalou Labor, travelled to UP Los Baños to represent the STUP team in the awarding ceremony. Prof. Mark Lester Chico, founding adviser and Director of Gandingan, explained Gandingan Awards’ theme “Midya at Bayan: Malaya. Mulat. Matapang.” Freedom, according to Chico, as it takes on many forms, is not only essential to daily living but also key to progressing society’s development and best interests.
