Background
The NSTP Diliman Office is at the forefront of UP’s identity as a public service university, engaging the iskolar ng bayan and the entire UP community in meaningful and relevant experiences in service to the nation and in defense preparedness. This mandate pushes for the development NSTP Common Module. The NSTP Common Module is the core of NSTP 1 in which the students learn the basic competencies they need in their community engagement.
The Tatak UP Common Module program of NSTP Diliman ensures that the new knowledge and practices necessary to the service of the people are always incorporated in the modules.
Tatak UP Common Module
NSTP Tatak UP sets the basic framework of service to the community and the Filipino people as the basis for all NSTP component courses. It emphasizes the UP values of honor and excellence in the service of the people. The NSTP goals to help isko and iska realized how to contribute to the betterment of the community and nation with their own potential. Also, its goals are to instill civic consciousness and defense preparedness among UP students, developing an understanding of the vital role of the youth in public service and nation building and to develop basic competencies that are needed in the conduct of community engagement.
